You may have been to every Belford Arts Festival we have ever held...maybe you are from Belford...possibly you have never heard of Belford or Northumberland before and have found us in this new virtual space. Either way here are some musings from our volunteers, venues and village in general...
IN BELFORD Some of the wonderful volunteers who work tirelessly to bring you an action packed festival look forward to seeing all of our festival family next year! thats exhibitors, performers, villagers, venues and visitors. We miss you all!
NOT IN BELFORD Our festival producer is celebrating the NHS by testing out maternity facilities across Northumberland - no joke - and whilst we may have a new addition any day now she is committed to showcasing the magnificently talented and creative people who make up this year's programme...just at a very different style of festival!
SLOWLY BUT SURELY BELFORD AND NORTHUMBERLAND ARE GETTING READY TO REOPEN TO VISITORS.
Known to us as Venue 2 the Market Cross Guest House was once part of a Georgian coaching house and is now an award winning luxury Bed and Breakfast in the village of Belford. Run by Amanda and Steve White since 2012.
Located in North Northumberland they are close to all the main attractions of the area and were awarded a Bronze award in North East Tourism Awards 2020. They re-open on 6th July, to book directly visit https://marketcrossguesthouse.com/
Despite being unable to rehearse together the Belford Players have not been silenced.
They are preparing Looking a Bit Sheepish - a play for voices and with rhyming couplets a plenty it promises to be fun.
We hope to share some recorded monologues here soon!
